The Paloma long dress falls straight from the shoulder and runs down to the ankle. Black leads, beige lightens it here and there. Smocking draws the waist in, the collar sits high on the neck, and the long sleeves close on a discreet elastic. A vertical line, with nothing added for effect.
A Viscose Georgette That Moves
The viscose georgette has that light, almost powdery grain which keeps the skirt swaying with every step; the composition is 100% viscose. The belt that comes with it, tied high, presses the smocked waist into shape; left aside, the line stays straight. A slip comes with the dress.
Two Ways to Wear It in Mid-Season
Under a long belted coat, the hem shows below and ankle boots take it from there. The second reading layers closer to the skin: a fine roll-neck slipped underneath, the dress sleeves worn over it, a short jumper knotted at the waist so the smocking still reads.
